No one cares more about your health than all of us here at St. Joe’s. We want you to take care of yourself. Make an appointment to see your family doctor. If you don’t currently have one that you see on a regular basis, you’re not alone. Not many people do. The changing face of medicine has changed the way that doctors see patients and the way that patients choose doctors.
We can help. St. Joseph Mercy Oakland (SJMO) continues to make available the best primary care physicians to our patients, including, but not limited to, your choice of traditional family doctors.

Urgent Care
It’s Friday evening and your
child has a fever and is tugging on his ear. You want to take him to an emergency
room, but you know the wait is often long. What do you do?
You can bring your child to one of the St. Joseph Mercy Oakland urgent care centers. They have board-certified physicians and highly qualified health professionals who can help with non-emergency medical care. However, if the physician deems an ailment or injury to be severe, he or she will make arrangements to get you or your loved one to the emergency room. Prescriptions are written when clinically appropriate.
Patients are encouraged to seek follow-up care from their own family physician.
The St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Waterford Urgent Care Center is located at 5800 Highland Rd. Office hours are 5 to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. No appointment is necessary. Most health insurance plans are accepted.

SJMO also operates the Lake Orion Urgent Care, located at 1375 S. Lapeer Rd., Suite 106. Its facilities are open 24/7. For information, call the Lake Orion Urgent Care, 248-693-9040.
Adjacent to the Lake Orion center are SJMO-sponsored imaging services. Hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays. For an appointment, call SJMO Imaging Services, 248-814-7801.
